Jan-June 2022 report due 30 July; Reporting requirement change for Home Support providers commence

Home Support/CHSP providers’ six-monthly January to June 2022 report is due for upload to the DSS Data Exchange (DEX) by 30 July 2022.

New monthly reporting requirements have come into effect from 1 July 2022. Monthly reports will be due 10 business days after the end of the month.

The submission of a monthly DEX report will be mandatory and may be linked to the release of the next monthly payment. Providers can voluntarily submit a report more frequently, such as each fortnight, however at a minimum a report must be submitted monthly.

CHSP providers will be monitored initially for the reporting of services delivered on a monthly basis through the DEX system. The Department of Health is aware of fluctuations in service delivery over the course of a year and will take into account exceptional events (such as bushfires, floods, drought, COVID-19 or managed shutdowns, where the delivery of services is unachievable) and the impact on providers where outputs have been increased as a result of a reduction in the funded price.

The e-Tools Home Support Programme (eHSP) software application has been designed to help providers handle this new reporting requirement easily. In fact, we have previously encouraged clients to upload data at least monthly, as best practice. It is important now more than ever, to ensure that you are up-to-date with your reporting.
