The Support at Home (SAH) information below is compiled by e-Tools Software to serve as a general guide for registered providers. It will include summarised milestones, important guides and tips for the SAH transition, leading up to 1 July 2025.

Please take time to conduct your own research to understand the new rules and ensure you cover all aspects of the transition to meet your new obligations. There is a mountain of information to absorb and processes to update before the transition date. You’ll find the information you need on the Department of Health and Aged Care website, but we have listed key Department links to get you started below, which we’ll update accordingly.


Support at Home Program Manual Version 3.0

The Department has released v3.0 of the Support at Home program manual (publication date 17 June 2025). The primary changes to this version of the manual are:

  • Chapter 7.0: New chapter outlining requirements for starting funded aged care services, including service agreements.
  • Chapter 8.0: Redraft of the care management chapter.
  • Chapter 13.0: Additional information for the AT-HM Scheme.
  • Chapter 18.0: New information about interactions between Support at Home and other aged care programs.
